Key contract requirements include providing a vessel between 34-65 feet long with specific maritime capabilities, such as maintaining heading under helicopter downwash and being equipped with navigation and communication equipment. The Request for Information (RFI) requires potential vendors to submit detailed responses addressing 14 specific information requests by May 14, 2025, at 10 am EST to Shelbie.J.Phillips@uscg.mil. The contract would require a vessel capable of supporting training operations typically two days per week, with activities occurring between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM within a 30 nautical mile radius of the air station. The contractor must provide a crew consisting of at least a master/captain and two deckhands, all of whom must meet specific maritime and rescue training qualifications. While no specific award value is disclosed, the vessel must meet rigorous specifications including an 8-ton gross weight, 4-foot draft, and a minimum 58-square-foot clear deck area. The government emphasizes that this RFI is for market research purposes, and submission is voluntary, with all responses becoming government property.
