About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking a small business contractor to perform a one-time asbestos abatement service at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. The project involves removing 252 square feet of flooring and tile, including 192 square feet of ceramic floor tile with underlying materials and 60 linear feet of Vinyl Composition Tile, as well as removing insulation from eight 10-foot HVAC pipes and one 10-foot water pipe. Contractors must comply with 40 CFR Part 61 standards for hazardous air pollutants and obtain all necessary permits and notifications at least 10 days before beginning work. Questions & Answers: This edit is to incorporate questions received to date, and government responses:
Question: Can you please provide a total square footage of the VCT abatement. PWS states 2.2. Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT). The contractor will remove 60 linear feet of residual Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT). Removal shall include the mastic and glue to the concrete flooring.
ANSWER: In total there is 19.8 Sq. Ft. of VTC flooring to be removed. It is a total of 60 linear feet, approxaimtaly 4 inches wide in sporadic areas. Picture #1, Page 7 in the PWS is an example of the VCT to be removed.

This Solicitation is being posted as an Oral Solicitation / Request for Quote (RFQ) In accordance with FAR Part 5. In order to maximize competition, to potentially interested vendors, this is being posted to allow submission of Quotes from other potentially interested vendors capable of meeting the requirement.
This is a One-Time service for the removal of 252 sq. ft. flooring/tile, and eight (8) 10 ft. each, pipe insulation of asbestos containing material in accordance with the attached PWS.
All questions should be submitted in accordance with the attached Oral Solicitation document. Potentially interested vendors are urged to carefully read the attached RFQ, and requirement documents.
