About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking contractor services to develop a comprehensive study and relocation plan for historic Strategic Deterrence Missiles, specifically Minuteman I and Trident II missiles currently displayed at B500 West Plaza that need to be moved to B1000 West Plaza. The contractor must assess the existing condition of these static display missiles and create a detailed sequence of actions for their removal, transportation, reinstallation, and refurbishment at the new location, where a concrete platform has already been constructed. This procurement falls under NAICS code 541690 for Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services and PSC code R425 for Support-Professional Engineering/Technical services. The work is currently being conducted for market research purposes only, with the potential for a future formal solicitation based on the results. Interested contractors must submit letters of interest or capabilities statements to TSgt Jennifer Prestridge and Mr. Casey Hupton by September 9, 2025.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to qualifying small business entities. The pre-solicitation notice does not specify any incumbent contractors, award values, or budget ranges, as this is strictly a market research phase to gauge contractor capabilities and interest. No specific quantities are mentioned beyond the reference to multiple missiles (Minuteman I and Trident II) that require relocation services. The timeline for actual performance has not been established, as the government is still in the preliminary planning stages and determining market capacity before proceeding with a formal solicitation. The supporting documentation includes a draft Performance Work Statement and wage determination requirements that will guide the eventual contract structure.
Notice text
Government requires the contractor provide the requested services to develop a study and accompanying plan that details the existing condition of the Minuteman I and Trident II missiles and the sequence of actions required to remove, transport, reinstall, and refurbish the missiles from their current location at B500 West Plaza to the B1000 West Plaza. A concrete platform has been constructed and is in place to support the new missiles’ location. These services are required to properly prepare and plan for the effort to relocate the static display of the historic Strategic Deterrence Missiles from B500 to B1000.
This is for market ressearch purposes only. A future solicitation may be posted based on the results. Please submit a letter of interest or capabilities statement to TSgt Jennifer Prestridge and Mr. Casey Hupton, jennifer.prestridge.1@us.af.mil and casey.hupton.1@us.af.mil
