About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking repair and maintenance services for the berthing barge APL-67 through solicitation N6264925RAA01. The work package includes five primary tasks: welding a kettle foundation in the main galley, preserving and touching up accessible voids, repairing chill water lagging, overhauling primary and secondary CHT pump assemblies, and resurfacing the cosmetic polymeric deck covering on the main quarterdeck. Only firms with an active U.S. Navy Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) or Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) who are authorized to operate and do business in Japan are eligible to submit proposals. The government will evaluate proposals based on technical acceptability and lowest total price, with the intention to award without discussions. Following multiple amendments, the current proposal submission deadline is September 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM Japan Standard Time, with access to detailed work specifications available through DoD SAFE upon request.
This solicitation does not utilize any set-aside designations and no incumbent contractors are identified in the documentation. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract is structured as a firm-fixed-price arrangement with a relatively short performance period from November 10, 2025, to December 10, 2025. The work will be performed at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) Naval Base in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan. The solicitation includes Government Furnished Property consisting of specific spare parts for the CHT pump system, including gaskets, O-rings, and shaft seals. The compressed timeline of 30 days for performance indicates the urgent nature of these maintenance requirements for the naval facility.
