About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Eustis has issued an amendment for Solicitation W911SD-25-Q-A075 regarding the procurement of two HPE servers for the United States Military Academy at West Point. This Special Notice serves as a formal amendment to the original solicitation that was posted on the CHESS (Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions) website. The procurement involves two Hewlett Packard Enterprise DL384 Gen12 CTO Servers with Tech Care Essentials and Damaged Media Retention, specifically configured with NVIDIA GH200 NVL2 processors for the Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis. The total contract value is $450,000 with a performance period from September 8, 2025 to September 7, 2026. This is a brand-name specific requirement justified under federal acquisition regulations due to the unique technical specifications required.
The primary purpose of this amendment is to extend the solicitation response deadline and formalize the brand-name justification for the HPE servers. All interested offerors who previously submitted quotes through the CHESS website must sign and return the attached amendment to Ms. Tara D'Amico at Tara.M.Damico.civ@army.mil no later than Friday, June 20, 2025 by 11:00 AM Eastern Time. Contractors are not required to resubmit quotes unless their pricing has changed from their previous submission. The procurement is limited to vendors within the ITES-3H CHESS Community, as CHESS serves as the Army's mandatory source for commercial IT hardware. Market research conducted for this procurement found no small businesses capable of meeting the specific technical requirements, and the acquisition will be competed among qualified CHESS vendors who can provide the specialized HPE server configurations needed for the military academy's computing infrastructure.
