About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Nuclear Weapons Center is seeking ambulance services for the 377th Medical Group at Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB). The Sources Sought Notice solicits potential contractors to provide 24/7 emergency medical response and patient transport services, including a New Mexico State licensed paramedic, licensed emergency medical technician (EMT), and a fully equipped ambulance. Contractors must demonstrate capability to connect with the Albuquerque area 911 dispatch system and meet the requirements outlined in the draft Performance Work Statement. Responses are due by Friday, April 11, 2025, at 12:00 pm MDT, and must be submitted electronically to Claudia Perry and Stacey Lee, with a 5-page Statement of Capabilities to help determine potential small business set-aside eligibility. The Air Force anticipates a competitive acquisition resulting in a Firm-Fixed-Price contract using NAICS code 621910 with a size standard of $22.5M.

The pre-solicitation notice does not currently have a specific set-aside designation, but the Air Force is reserving the right to consider a small business set-aside based on responses received. The estimated contract workload is approximately 0.7 runs per day or 30 runs per month, with services primarily focused on emergency medical response and patient transport to the NMVAHCS Emergency Department. Contractors will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, and management to meet the comprehensive service requirements. The contract will require maintaining current certifications, licenses, and strict adherence to medical and government regulations, with a 100% performance threshold across multiple service areas. While no specific award value is mentioned, the NAICS code size standard of $22.5M suggests potential significant contract value for the selected vendor.
