About this opportunity
The United States Air Force is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified vendors capable of providing Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) integration, development, training, and sustainment services through the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center. The services will support C-sUAS systems designed to detect, track, identify, and defeat small unmanned aircraft systems globally, protecting critical assets including personnel, bases, flight lines, and equipment from Group 1-3 UAS threats ranging from commercial hobbyist to military platforms. Key technical requirements include cloud computing capabilities, maintaining Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA), implementing DevSecOps practices, utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning for object detection and automation, and achieving continuous software development with at least two incremental deliveries annually. Vendors must demonstrate capabilities across multiple domains including software development, test and evaluation, cybersecurity, logistics support, and sustainment services. Responses must be submitted electronically by July 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM EST to three Air Force contact points, with capabilities statements limited to 15 pages plus a one-page cover letter (amended from the original 21-page total). The RFI emphasizes this is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation.
This procurement opportunity does not designate any set-aside restrictions, with both small businesses and other than small businesses encouraged to respond. The RFI does not identify any current incumbents or existing contractors for these services, nor does it specify potential award values or budget ranges for the anticipated acquisition. No specific quantities of goods are mentioned, as the focus is on service capabilities rather than hardware procurement. The timeline for services is not explicitly defined in the RFI, though the requirement for continuous software development with biannual incremental deliveries suggests an ongoing, multi-year engagement model. The global scope of the C-sUAS systems indicates the services will need to support worldwide Air Force operations and installations.
