About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Nuclear Weapons Center seeks procurement, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of air compression equipment at Kirtland Air Force Base, with proposals due August 4, 2026 at 1400 hours MDT. This is a 100% small business set-aside (NAICS 333912, 1000-employee size standard).
Place of performance is Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87117. The capital project requires procurement and installation of two Ingersoll Rand RS37i air compressors (120 PSI, 170 CFM each, with integrated air dryers), one Ingersoll Rand Polysep PSG-30 oil-water separator (390 CPM, 12-gallon absorption module), and two Ingersoll Rand Xe-70M controllers. Equivalent models are accepted if they meet specified technical requirements and include technical specification brochures. The contractor must also provide preventive and corrective maintenance for all existing shop air compressor systems across multiple facilities for a base year plus four option years. The capital project must be completed within 90 days of contract award. The contractor must maintain minimum 95% system availability, respond to routine service calls within seven days and emergency calls within twelve hours (two-hour initial contact during Kirtland AFB business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday–Friday excluding federal holidays). Reimbursable expenses for parts and alterations are capped at $400,000 per year. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, parts, equipment, transportation, certifications, tools, and disposal of replaced equipment off-base.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for July 16, 2026 at 1300 hours MDT. Contractor representatives must submit names, driver's license numbers, and dates of birth by July 10 for base access. Questions are due July 20. Service Contract Act prevailing wage rates apply. Evaluation uses lowest-price methodology; technical acceptability is assessed first, with price evaluated only for technically acceptable proposals. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation with firm fixed pricing and FOB Destination terms.
