About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force seeks four specialized, heavy-duty modular electronic repair workbench systems for delivery to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, with proposals due September 2, 2026. The procurement is unrestricted and executed as a Brand Name or Equal acquisition with LISTA as the target brand; offerors proposing alternate "equal" solutions must demonstrate compliance with salient characteristics covering dimensions, weight capacity, electronic access control, and ESD/power management.
Place of performance is Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, with delivery required by September 30, 2026. The requirement includes vendor-provided shipping, on-site installation, drawer cabinet lock programming, and assembly services as separate firm fixed-price line items. Each workbench must provide a work surface width between 2450mm and 2550mm and depth between 800mm and 1000mm, support a minimum static load capacity of 200kg at unsupported center span, and be constructed of industrial-grade dark grey Elterlux or equivalent ESD-compatible material rated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit with brief excursions to 530 degrees Fahrenheit. Two integrated base support cabinets beneath the work surface must each provide 60kg dynamic load capacity per drawer in fully extended position, with minimum exterior height of 850mm and 1300mm minimum unobstructed knee space. The workbench color configuration combines dark grey Elterlux work surface top with RAL 2004 orange exterior cabinet structure. The NAICS code is 337127, Institutional Furniture Manufacturing; PSC is 7125, Cabinets, Lockers, Bins, and Shelving. Evaluation is based on price and technical compliance, with both factors required to be acceptable for award eligibility. Amendment 0002 extended the due date from August 28 to September 2; Amendment 0003 added vendor Q&A with supporting photos.

This an official Solicitation posted in accordance with RFO Part 5.201. The Department of the Air Force intends to procure four (4) specialized, heavy-duty modular electronic repair workbench systems. This turnkey requirement includes vendor-provided shipping, delivery, and on-site installation at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.
This requirement is being executed as a "Brand Name or Equal" acquisition (Target Brand: LISTA) to meet stringent operational, safety, and spatial tolerances within the existing facility. We highly encourage and welcome submissions from vendors offering alternate "equal" solutions.
To be considered technically acceptable, offerors proposing an "equal" product must demonstrate that their proposed solution meets or exceeds the physical, functional, and performance requirements outlined in the attached Salient Characteristics document. While aesthetic equivalents are acceptable where noted, the Government must adhere strictly to the core physical parameters established in the salient characteristics—specifically dimensions, weight capacity, electronic access control, and ESD/power management. Strict adherence to these minimum thresholds is mandatory to prevent critical operational disruptions, safety hazards, and facility layout impacts.
