About this opportunity

The United States Air Force Life Cycle Material Command (AFLCMC) is procuring thirteen manual pipe bending machines through GSA Federal Acquisition Service under RFQ 47QSWC25Q0111. The machines must be floor-mounted, hydraulically operated units capable of bending pipes up to 1.5 inches outer diameter with a maximum centerline radius of 8 inches and maximum bend arm movement of 195 degrees, designed to shape aerospace-grade materials including aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium alloys while maintaining structural integrity. Each machine must include comprehensive tooling packages with mandrels, clamp blocks, side blocks, and hydraulic systems as specified in the technical requirements. The procurement follows FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12 for commercial products, with evaluation based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) criteria where the government will award to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest-priced technically acceptable quote. The quote submission deadline has been extended to June 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. CDT, with the government having posted responses to contractor questions on June 18, 2025.

This acquisition is designated as a total small business set-aside with no incumbents or current contractors identified in the solicitation documents. The contract will be a firm-fixed price, single-award arrangement with a 365-day performance period for procurement and delivery of all thirteen machines. The machines will be distributed to twenty-three Air Force installations worldwide, including domestic bases and international locations in Japan, Korea, Italy, and Germany, with quantities ranging from one to fifteen units per destination. The contractor will be responsible for delivery to Continental United States locations, while AFLCMC will manage Outside the Continental United States shipments, requiring coordination with designated points of contact for international logistics. While no specific contract value is disclosed in the available documents, the pricing spreadsheet indicates unit pricing and freight costs will be evaluated as part of the total quote submission.
