About this opportunity
The 325th Contracting Squadron at Air Combat Command intends to solicit for three AFAS Workstations and IDS5 Software as a sole-source procurement, with industry comments due by July 30, 2026. This is a sole-source action justified under FAR 12.102(a) based on proprietary rights and mission-critical technical compatibility; Systems Atlanta, Inc. (SAI) is the sole developer and owner of the IDS5 software suite with no authorized reseller network, and IDS5 is the only information display system available for USAF use that natively interfaces with the Joint Environmental Toolkit server to display real-time weather data to Air Traffic Control positions and establish bidirectional dataflow to Airfield Management and Base Operations facilities.
Each workstation package includes a TAA-compliant mini-PC workstation, 19-inch touch display with cabling, USB corded keyboard and mouse, and an uninterrupted power supply. Three IDS5 Workstation/Server Software licenses are included. All hardware is delivered fully staged, imaged, configured, and tested, with telephonic installation assistance available during business hours and a comprehensive five-year telephonic hardware warranty. Shipping and freight to the customer's location are included. The customer is responsible for installation, providing LAN connection peripherals, and obtaining network approvals; on-site services are not included.
Market research, including the sources-sought notice posted to SAM.gov on July 20, 2026, yielded zero competitive quotes from alternative vendors. Price reasonableness will be established by comparing against historical Air Force purchases and SAI's current commercial catalog pricing.
