About this opportunity
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Eglin Air Force Base is conducting a Request for Information to identify sources capable of performing Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation activities for the Advanced Research for Air-delivered Munitions (ARAM) program, with responses due by May 29, 2026. This is market research under FAR Part 10; responses do not constitute binding offers and all respondent costs are the responsibility of the responding company.
ARAM spans basic research (6.1), applied research (6.2), and advanced technology development (6.3) across Technology Readiness Levels 1 through 8. The program is structured around three primary research areas: Mission Systems (advanced air-armament technologies including Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation, scene projector technology, RF simulation, flight motion simulation, target scene phenomenology, Automatic Target Recognition, advanced weapon seeker concepts, and biologically-inspired sensing); Mission Management (weapon autonomy, advanced guidance and control, alternative navigation solutions, and networked/intelligent weapons); and Mission Design (Mission Engineering, Transdisciplinary Design, Digital Materiel Management, and advanced computing including AI, HPC, and cloud computing integration). The program applies the Mission Analysis Driving Technology (MADTech) philosophy, prioritizing integration by design and mission effect.
Respondents must provide technical and management capabilities, Rough Order of Magnitude cost estimates, teaming arrangements, preferred contract type, Organizational Conflict of Interest mitigation strategies, CMMC Level 2 or higher certification, and classified information handling procedures. The Government anticipates obtaining Government Purpose Rights or Unrestricted rights to all technical data and software. Responses are limited to seven single-spaced pages plus an optional three-page risk identification appendix in PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLSX, or XLS format.
