About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Redstone Arsenal (ACC Redstone) has published a Special Notice soliciting support and maintenance services for AdaCore GNAT Pro software development tools. This notice was posted on December 18, 2025, with a response deadline of December 22, 2025. The Technology Development Directorate (TDD) requires continued maintenance and support for the Ada software development suite, which serves as the existing compiler for Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) software development. The procurement is categorized under Software Publishers (NAICS 513210) and IT and Telecom Business Application/Application Development Software as a Service (PSC DA10). This is a sole-source procurement, meaning the government has determined that only one contractor can meet the stated requirements.
The TDD is seeking to renew a 12-month maintenance and support contract for multiple AdaCore software products, effective December 8, 2025 through December 7, 2026, supporting up to 15 unique users. The contract encompasses GNAT Pro Assurance, enterprise tools for Ada software development, cross-compilation capabilities for VxWorks, dynamic analysis suites, and static analysis suites across x86 GNU Linux environments (32-bit and 64-bit). The government has justified the sole-source approach by documenting that AdaCore is the only vendor capable of meeting all technical requirements, including native Linux compilation, VxWorks cross-compilation, Ada 2012 support, unit testing, and static code analysis capabilities required for embedded flight code development. Alternative vendors such as DDC-I, PTC, and Green Hills were evaluated but deemed insufficient to replace the existing system. Given the TDD's more than 10 years of established use with AdaCore and the substantial costs and operational risks associated with system migration, the procurement is restricted to AdaCore as the sole-source provider.
