About this opportunity

The National Institutes of Health National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) intends to solicit a Keyence BZ-X1000 All-in-One Fluorescence Microscope or equivalent system by July 7, 2026. No set-aside applies.

The system will be delivered, installed, and configured at NHGRI's designated location to support ongoing and future research activities. NHGRI requires high-resolution fluorescence and brightfield imaging of biological specimens, including fixed cells, live cells, and tissue sections from pre-clinical mouse models. The microscope must provide high-sensitivity fluorescence detection suitable for low-signal biological samples, automated image acquisition and stage control, integrated quantitative image analysis software, multi-channel fluorescence imaging capability, and data export compatibility with standard analysis workflows. The system shall enable visualization and quantification of gene expression, vector distribution, cellular pathology, and therapeutic response while reducing dependency on shared imaging facilities and improving turnaround time for time-sensitive experiments.

The contractor shall deliver all necessary components, accessories, and software licenses for full system functionality; perform system testing and ensure operational readiness; provide user training for NHGRI personnel; and provide warranty and technical support as specified in the contract. The contractor may propose the Keyence BZ-X1000 or an equivalent system meeting all specified requirements.
