About this file

This is a Requirements document for a pre-solicitation acquisition issued by the Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations (Solicitation Number: 75N98026Q00712). The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) seeks to procure a Keyence BZ-X1000 All-in-One Fluorescence Microscope or an equivalent system to support ongoing and future research activities. The primary objectives are to enable high-resolution fluorescence and brightfield imaging of biological specimens including fixed cells, live cells, and tissue sections from pre-clinical mouse models; support visualization and quantification of gene expression, vector distribution, cellular pathology, and therapeutic response; enhance experimental efficiency and data quality through integrated imaging, automation, and analysis capabilities; and reduce dependency on shared imaging facilities to improve turnaround time for time-sensitive experiments.

The required system must be an all-in-one fluorescence and brightfield microscope with high-sensitivity fluorescence detection suitable for low-signal biological samples, automated image acquisition and stage control, integrated quantitative image analysis software, high-resolution cellular and subcellular imaging capabilities, multi-channel fluorescence imaging capability, and data export compatibility with standard analysis workflows. The contractor shall deliver, install, and configure the system at the designated location; provide all necessary components, accessories, and software licenses for full functionality; perform system testing and ensure operational readiness; provide user training for NHGRI personnel; and provide warranty and technical support as specified in the contract.
