About this opportunity
The National Park Service seeks quotations for crushed aggregate stone for Acadia National Park in Maine, with quotes due July 29, 2026 at noon EDT and questions due July 17. The procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside, restricting competition to small business concerns.
The base requirement is 3,500 cubic yards total: 1,500 cubic yards Surface Course 1 Inch Minus, 1,500 cubic yards 1 Inch Minus, and 500 cubic yards 4 Inch Minus. An optional requirement adds 1,750 cubic yards in the same proportions. The order is a Firm Fixed Price purchase order with a 4-month period of performance. Base materials must be delivered within 30 days of order issuance (following NPS approval of test results), with option deliveries due within 30 days of option exercise.
Materials are delivered to two locations: the main park stockpile on Liscomb Pit Road, Bar Harbor (Surface Course and 4 Inch Minus materials) and the secondary stockpile off Seal Cove Road, Southwest Harbor (1 Inch Minus material). Materials must comply with detailed ASTM standards for abrasion, fractured faces, soundness loss, and screen analysis gradations. Quoters must price per cubic yard, demonstrate commercial product availability with datasheets, confirm delivery capability, and commit to providing certified test results from a certified laboratory within 10 days of award, plus gradation testing at one test per 500 cubic yards.
Award will be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable small business quoter. Payment is electronic through the Invoice Processing Platform based on certified weight tickets at the unit price per cubic yard. FOB is destination; quoters must complete all applicable taxes and provide prompt payment discount information (10, 20, or 30 calendar days). Supplies must be of domestic origin unless the quoter indicates otherwise. Amendment 1 (July 23) clarified the unit of measure from ton to cubic yard; quoters must acknowledge this amendment. The Contracting Officer is Caroline Laikin-Credno (703-787-1828).
