About this opportunity
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is conducting market research to identify contractors capable of providing ABET accreditation maintenance services for seven engineering and applied science programs at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). The contractor must possess the capability to conduct annual accreditation reviews, assessments, and evaluations using the contractor's standard accreditation process aligned with criteria established by relevant professional societies. Key qualifications include demonstrated past experience providing accreditation services to academic programs, current staffing capabilities with qualified personnel, and proof of commerciality by offering similar services to both government and commercial customers. Evaluation will be based on the contractor's ability to meet Performance Work Statement requirements, maintain appropriate staffing composition and management structure, and demonstrate compliance with FAR regulations regarding subcontracting limitations for small businesses. The Sources Sought notice deadline for submission of capability packages is Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 Eastern Time, with submissions required via email to the contracting office.
No set-aside designation has been made at this time, though the Air Force retains the option to set aside the acquisition for small businesses if at least two qualified small businesses demonstrate sufficient interest and capability. The contract period of performance runs from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, with work performed at AFIT in Dayton, Ohio. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and possess CMMC Level 1 certification to be eligible for contract award. The solicitation instructions require respondents to provide company information including Unique Entity ID, CAGE Code, point of contact details, and socio-economic business status under NAICS code 611310. While no specific budget amount is disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, payment will be structured at 100 percent upon completion and acceptance of all requirements, processed on a net 30 invoicing basis.
