About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center intends to issue a solicitation and award a sole-source contract to SPOK, Inc. for commercial beeper lease and support services for 81 VA medical centers across multiple states. The period of performance is a 12-month base period followed by two 12-month option periods. Interested parties must submit capability statements by June 23, 2023 demonstrating how they can meet coverage area requirements. Any proposals received will be evaluated, though award is anticipated to the incumbent, SPOK, as supported by the attached justification.

There is no set-aside designation. SPOK is the potential incumbent as the current provider of wireless messaging pager services to the 81 VA medical centers under infrastructure they own. The justification cites avoiding significant duplication of costs and delays in fulfilling needs within the 12-month base period and two 12-month option periods as reasons for a sole-source award. The place of performance encompasses coverage areas across multiple states to support the 81 VA medical centers.
