About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration is conducting market research through this Request for Information to identify vendors capable of providing a comprehensive Provider Directory solution as a Software-as-a-Service offering. The VA seeks to replace the current Provider Profile Management System (PPMS) with a scalable directory that will enable VA staff, veterans, and beneficiaries to find and schedule care with community care providers using accurate, real-time data. The solution must support various VA community care programs including Community Care Network, Veteran Care Agreements, Dialysis Services, and Family Member Programs, while maintaining compliance with FedRAMP security requirements and federally mandated information exchange standards. Key technical requirements include 24/7 availability, mobile device accessibility, real-time provider data updates, and robust data integrity capabilities across 76 specific salient characteristics. The original RFI response deadline was extended to September 25, 2025, at 8:00 AM Eastern Time, and vendors must submit responses via email to the VA Technology Acquisition Center.

This opportunity is designated as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside and will be procured under the NASA Solution for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V contract vehicle. No incumbent contractors or current providers are specifically mentioned in the documentation, as this represents a transition from the existing PPMS system to a new SaaS solution. While no specific contract values or budget ranges are disclosed in the RFI documents, the procurement structure includes a base 12-month period with six additional 12-month option periods, indicating a potential seven-year total contract duration. The contractor will be required to complete a phased transition of provider data and system interfaces within 120 calendar days of contract award. The solution must integrate with multiple VA systems and external data sources, including CMS, DEA databases, and various VA healthcare IT systems such as VistA, Cerner, and VA Health Connect.
