About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration to conduct market research for a comprehensive Provider Directory solution. The VA seeks industry feedback on developing a centralized provider directory capability that will enable VA, Veterans, and Beneficiaries to find and schedule care with community care providers using accurate and timely data. The RFI requests vendors to provide insights on technology solutions that support provider data accuracy, scalability, FedRAMP compliance, real-time notifications, and interoperability with information exchange standards.

Responses are due by May 21, 2025 at 10AM EDT and must be submitted via email to specified VA contacts. Vendors are asked to complete a detailed questionnaire covering topics such as provider data management, technology capabilities, pricing models, licensing structures, and company information including CAGE code, business size, NAICS codes, and contract vehicles. The VA is particularly interested in understanding the pros and cons of owning a provider directory versus using a subscription-based service, and will use the collected information to develop its acquisition strategy. This RFI is not a solicitation and does not guarantee a future contract, with the related federal contract opportunity (Solicitation Number: 36C10B25Q0302) currently listed as a pre-solicitation under the Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center Austin.
