About this opportunity
The US Geological Survey issued an Intent to Award Notice on September 9, 2026, for a non-competitive, sole-source contract to supply File360 Software & Modules and Micrographic EPM hardware under a total small business set-aside, with a response deadline of 9:00 AM Eastern on Monday, September 14, 2026.
The contract supports the National Minerals Information Centers' Minerals Archival and Retrieval System (MARS), which archives vital USGS minerals information in compliance with National Archives and Records Administration requirements. File360 provides online data access enabling team members to retrieve minerals data from workstations. The anticipated award goes to Document Imaging Specialist, LLC/IMS for a firm fixed price contract running October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.
USGS identified no other source capable of delivering the required File360 licensing, proprietary API, records-management code developed specifically for NMIC, and migration support necessary to meet an impending Reston Data Center closure. Any vendor who believes it can provide similar products meeting these requirements must contact Contract Specialist Patrick Anderson at patrick_anderson@usgs.gov by the September 14 deadline to express capability and interest before award is finalized.
