About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 12, through the Great Lakes Acquisition Center, is procuring commercial kitchen equipment for the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The solicitation seeks a one-time purchase of two Alto-Shaam gas combi ovens (models 6-10G PRO and 10-10G PRO or equivalent) and a Vulcan reverse osmosis system, along with associated installation services and warranties. The combi ovens must meet specific technical requirements including Wi-Fi enablement, multiple cooking modes, NSF and Energy Star certifications, stainless steel construction, and compatibility with natural gas. Evaluation will be based on four criteria: price, technical capability, veterans' involvement, and speed of delivery, with Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses receiving additional evaluation credit. However, an important update indicates that the original solicitation (36C25225Q0653) with a quote deadline of August 13, 2025, has been canceled, and the government plans to resolicit this requirement in the near future.

This procurement is set aside exclusively for small businesses under NAICS code 333241 (Food Product Machinery Manufacturing) with a size standard of 500 employees. No incumbent contractors are specifically mentioned in the solicitation documents. While exact award values are not disclosed, the procurement involves purchasing two commercial-grade combi ovens, a reverse osmosis system, installation equipment including CPVC installation kits rated up to 20.0 amps per oven, automatic liquid cleaning systems, and 2-year extended warranties. The installation services require a pre-installation site survey, equipment placement, utility connections, and mechanical startup, with work scheduled to occur after 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to minimize disruption to medical center operations. Performance will take place at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center located at 5000 West National Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53295.
