About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration is procuring a High-Density Vertical Storage Rack System for the Orlando VA Healthcare System in Orlando, Florida. The solicitation seeks storage racks capable of holding medical supplies across nine different rooms, with specific configurations including 17 four-section racks, 2 five-section racks, and 15 three-section racks, each equipped with 8 grey baskets and designed to hold 10 dividable bins per rack with a 150-pound weight capacity. The procurement also includes one LN Trak Stor Wire Shelving System and installation and assembly services for organizing medical items used in veteran care. The solicitation is structured as a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order under NAICS code 337215 (Showcase, Partition, Shelving, and Locker Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Following multiple amendments, the final quote submission deadline is August 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST, with vendors required to submit responses via email to Contract Specialist Shawn Autrey.
This procurement is designated as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside, restricting competition to qualified SDVOSB entities registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The storage system will serve multiple locations within the Orlando VA facility, including Emergency Department Room 1A701 (365 items), various CLC rooms with item counts ranging from 330-391 items each, distribution rooms, and specialized areas like the Hero Room and Victory Room with 178 and 160 items respectively. A mandatory site visit was conducted on July 31, 2025, allowing potential offerors to take measurements of the storage areas and assess the current configuration. The contract includes implementation of a Kanban project for supply storage solutions, with the VA providing flexibility in room layouts and rack distribution arrangements. Performance will occur at the Orlando VA Healthcare System facility, with the contract period extending from the date of award through completion of installation and delivery.
