About this opportunity
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL/RMZB) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, issued a notice of intent to award a sole-source purchase order to Vision Products, LLC, for repair and refurbishment of an SA-62 Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) by July 28, 2026, with response deadline of 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on that date. The agency justifies the sole-source award under FAR 12.102(a) on the basis that Vision Products, LLC is the only vendor capable of providing the required services.
The work scope involves removing and replacing two micro-displays with newer OLED micro-displays, followed by full calibration and testing to restore the SA-62 to original factory specifications. The refurbished device must support high-fidelity data collection from research simulations conducted by the 711th Human Performance Wing/RHB.
All responsible sources and authorized distributors may submit capability statements meeting the Minimum Requirements Document (MRD) dated July 14, 2026, pricing quotations, or exceptions to the sole-source intent via email to Jason B. Sav at jason.sav@us.af.mil. Email subject line must read "Notice of Intent to Award SS - SA-62 Helmet Mounted Display (HMD)." The Government will consider submissions solely to determine whether to conduct competitive procurement; submission does not guarantee competition. NAICS 811210, PSC J066.
