About this opportunity

This Special Notice from the Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration announces the intent to award a single source contract to Crosstek Solutions, LLC for the design of two trailers to transport rock drills. The notice provides the rational basis for using a single source award as this is a new requirement in support of the Customs and Border Protection Cross Border Tunnel Threat program, for which design services are needed for the trailers to haul rock drills recently purchased from TEI Rock Drills under another FAA award.

The contract will require Crosstek Solutions to deliver a document list at time of award, a draft design concept within 90 calendar days, and a final mini drill trailer design document within 120 calendar days of award. The contract will be a firm fixed price contract. Any questions regarding this notice must be received by December 8, 2023. The design must accommodate specified equipment including a skid steer, hydraulic drilling attachment, hollow stem auger, casing tooling, downhole hammer, winch, breaker system, and air equipment. The period of performance is 120 days and the NAICS code is 333131 for mining machinery and equipment manufacturing.
