About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) is seeking to procure a small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) with CCTV and thermal imaging capabilities to aid in the detection of personnel and/or wildlife involved in incidents on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) due to limited vehicle and pedestrian access caused by terrain and vegetation. The sUAS must meet specific technical requirements outlined in Attachment 1, including a service ceiling of 3,000m AMSL, maximum speeds, and operating temperature and wind specifications. Responses must demonstrate adherence to these salient characteristics and be submitted via Pricing Schedule in Attachment 2 by 4:00 PM Alaska Standard Time on August 9, 2024. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract to the lowest priced, technically acceptable quote.
This solicitation is under full and open competition with no set-aside designations. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336411 - Aircraft Manufacturing, and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 1550-P - Unmanned Aircraft. The Government estimates the total contract value, including delivery and training, but does not provide a specific budget range. The place of performance is Anchorage, Alaska, 99506.
Notice text
Due to the terrain and topography at JBER vehicle and pedestrian access is limited to certain locations caused by the presence of vegetation and rugged terrain. Due to these limitations and the presence of hostile wildlife search and recovery operations are often delayed and place responding personnel in dangerous situations. To combat these limiting factors the 673 SFS is requesting procurement of a small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) with CCTV and thermal imaging capabilities to aid in the detection of personnel and/or wildlife involved in incidents on JBER. Due to National Defense Authorization Act security restrictions, drones must be registered on the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) Blue List.
For the full scope of the requirement, please see Attachment 1 - SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS_Blue_Force_Drone.
