About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs' Regional Procurement Office West (RPOW) Activations Division has issued a Sources Sought Notice to conduct market research for patient transfer lifts under PSC Code 6530 and NAICS Code 339113. The VA is seeking information from potential sources capable of providing two specific medical lift products: a mobile sit-to-stand patient lift (Whitney Safety Platform Walker model #52500 or equivalent) with a 330-pound load capacity, 58 WH battery, power assist function, and remote control operation, and a bariatric electric patient lift (Denali Model #52400-15 or equivalent) with a 600-pound load capacity featuring multiple configuration options, removable battery, and advanced maneuverability features. Interested vendors must submit comprehensive responses including business details such as company name, address, point of contact information, SAM EUID number, NAICS code, business size and type, capability statement, product country of origin, and GSA/FSS contract number if applicable. All responses must be submitted via email to Contracting Officer Dewana Raynor at dewana.raynor@va.gov by Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 4:00 PM CST. This market research notice does not constitute a formal solicitation and does not guarantee contract award, with all responses to be treated as proprietary information.
This opportunity does not include any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified sources regardless of business size. No current contractors or incumbents are identified in the notice, and no award values or budget ranges are disclosed as this is strictly a market research exercise to determine the appropriate acquisition method. The specific quantities required include one bariatric lift configured with 4 casters and 15-inch sling bar for car extractions, and two bariatric lifts configured with 3 casters and 24-inch sling bar for inpatient use. The timeline for responses is limited, with only 13 days from the posting date of June 11, 2025, to the submission deadline. The VA reserves the right to use all information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate, emphasizing that this is solely an information-gathering effort to assess market capabilities and availability.
