About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, on behalf of the Oklahoma VA Health Care System, is conducting market research to identify domestic manufacturers capable of supplying and installing ten steam sterilizers equivalent to the Steris AMSCO 400 Small Steam Sterilizer. Interested contractors must demonstrate their capability to provide domestically manufactured products compliant with the Buy American Act and must submit detailed capability statements by March 20, 2026 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time to Shanta Harrison at Shanta.Harrison@va.gov. Additionally, a comparable washer/disinfector unit (AMSCO 7053HP) with 200-208V, 3-phase, 60Hz capability and 15 DIN/10 US tray capacity is required. Prospective offerors should include company point of contact information, business size status, and documentation supporting organizational and staff capability in their responses.

This procurement involves no set-aside designation and will result in a firm-fixed price contract awarded through full and open competition, with the possibility of multiple awards. The Steris AMSCO 400 Small Steam Sterilizer is identified as the incumbent equipment standard, though this notice is seeking comparable alternative manufacturers. No specific budget range or award value has been disclosed in the pre-solicitation materials. The requirement encompasses ten units of the primary steam sterilizer and an unspecified quantity of the washer/disinfector units, classified under NAICS code 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing) and Product Service Code 6515 (Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies). The procurement timeline indicates the government is actively conducting market research as of March 17, 2026, with formal solicitation anticipated to follow based on the capability information received.
