About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 10 issued a Notice of Intent to Sole Source on August 25, 2026, for subscription renewals and support services for radiotherapy software at John D. Dingell VA Medical Center's Radiation Oncology Section, with responses due by 12:00 PM Eastern Time on August 27, 2026. The VA intends to award a sole source contract to Radformation, Inc., a small business, under FAR 12.102(a) (Only One Responsible Source) and Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
The required deliverables include licensing, updates, and patches for five proprietary software modules: ClearCheck (radiotherapy treatment plan evaluation), EZFluence (automated 3D radiotherapy planning), ClearCalc (secondary calculation verification), AutoContour (automated radiotherapy contouring), and ChartCheck (radiotherapy treatment evaluation). The vendor must provide technical support, interface modifications, unlimited remote end-user training, access to online tutorial video courses, and service reporting and maintenance assistance. The VA asserts that Radformation holds exclusive rights to these proprietary products and that replacing them would require workflow redesign and staff retraining that could interrupt patient care. The contracting office is at 3140 Governor's Place Blvd, Suite 210, Kettering, Ohio 45409-1337. Inquiries should be directed to Brooke Hansen, Contract Specialist, at brooke.hansen@va.gov; no phone inquiries will be accepted.
