About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Strategic Acquisition Center is conducting market research for Phase II of the Prosthetics Surgical Implants Next Generation (SING) program, seeking to expand its existing national contracts for prosthetic surgical implants. The VA aims to develop a comprehensive contract program covering both biologic and non-biologic implants across multiple medical categories including women's health, urinary, gastrointestinal, ophthalmology, vascular, cardiology, dental, pain management, respiratory, craniofacial, and orthopedic implants. Interested manufacturers and distributors are requested to provide detailed information about their organizational capabilities, product categories, SKU quantities, and historical VA sales data. The VA is specifically seeking industry feedback to help determine procurement methods and final contract requirements. All responses must be submitted by February 14, 2025, at 12:00 PM to Brian Love and Kristin Campbell via email.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside for small businesses, and no incumbent contractors are named in the document. While the VA currently has 30 contracts under Phase I of the SING program, the specific award value for Phase II is not yet determined, though the agency anticipates establishing a minimum sales threshold for contract consideration. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing) and Product Service Code 6515 (Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies). The VA is seeking to grow a robust supply chain of manufacturers and distributors across multiple implant categories, with the primary objectives of ensuring service continuity and streamlining the ordering process for prosthetic surgical implants.

PROSTHETICS SURGICAL IMPLANTS NEXT GENERATION (SING) PROGRAM
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is looking to further expand upon its National Contracts program for Prosthetics Surgical Implants Next Generation (SING) to further expand coverage to other identified categories of implants that may not currently be serviced. The VA currently has established a suite of 30 contracts under its Phase 1 of the SING program.
The objective of this RFI is to further seek out interested vendors who may desire to establish a national contract under the Prosthetics SING program which will further expand coverage upon the current national contracts program with the intent to capture all Prosthetics surgical implants, inclusive of both Biologics and Non-Biologics, ensuring continuity of service and ease of access and ordering of supply while growing a robust supply chain of manufacturers and distributors inclusive of all prosthetics surgical implant categories.
Please note: The Government anticipates at this time that a yet to be determined dollar figure of sales, may be required at minimum for possible consideration of a national contract; industry comment and feedback regarding any potential discriminator(s) is encouraged and welcomed.
