About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 21 has awarded contract 36F79719D0102 to Glomax, Inc. for the purchase of Philips Patient Monitoring equipment at VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System on a sole-source basis, with a contract value of $650,079.08.
The justification cites FAR 6.302-1(c) and RFO 6.103-1, Brand Name Descriptions, on the basis that Philips Monitors were determined essential to meet the facility's operational needs and no alternative products met the specific requirements for compatibility with existing infrastructure and standardization objectives. Market research and technical evaluations concluded that the Philips equipment's proprietary communication protocols, unique networking standards incompatible with other vendors, and vendor-specific accessory compatibility necessitated a brand name only procurement. The procurement was not set aside on a GSA schedule. Glomax is an authorized Philips supplier. The contract was awarded on August 18, 2026.
