About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Procurement Office-RPO East, on behalf of the Birmingham VA Healthcare System (VISN 07), is issuing a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified vendors capable of supplying non-invasive ventilation systems. The VA requires 12 non-invasive ventilators along with accessories and staff training to support both adult and pediatric patients weighing 12.5 kg or more. Key requirements include delivery of tidal volumes as low as 100 mL, multiple ventilation modes (non-invasive ventilation with pressure support, invasive pressure-controlled ventilation, pressure-regulated volume-targeted ventilation, and proportional pressure support), integrated high-flow oxygen therapy capability, and continuous CO2 and SpO2 monitoring with 72-hour waveform and alarm history storage. Equipment must be FDA-cleared Class II medical devices featuring a turbine-driven design weighing no more than 17 lbs, a 12-inch color touchscreen interface, dual HEPA filtration, internal backup battery with hot-swappable external battery providing at least 4 hours combined runtime, and connectivity to common patient monitoring or EMR systems. Responses must be submitted by April 9, 2026 at 4:30 PM Eastern Time to Contracting Officer Darius Crane at darius.crane@va.gov with the subject line "36C24726Q0435 NON-INVASIVE VENTILATORS," and responses will be used to determine whether a formal solicitation is issued.
