About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 9 is seeking to procure an AMSCO brand or equal enclosed rack return system for the VA Lexington Health Care System. This procurement involves the supply, installation, and removal of an existing rack return system that must meet specific dimensional requirements of 883mm X 2362mm X 1008mm and be fully enclosed in decontamination and preparation areas. The system must be compatible with existing washer disinfector racks and include components such as interlocked doors with hands-free sensors, upper and lower cabinets, recess mounting kit, adapter kit for transfer carts, audio communication system, and status indicator lighting. The product must be manufactured in the USA and installation must occur over a weekend to minimize disruption to department operations. Questions were due by 1:00 PM CT on June 10, 2025, and quotes are due by 1:00 PM CT on June 13, 2025, to be submitted to Contracting Officer Elyse N. McVey at Elyse.McVey@va.gov.

This requirement is designated as a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors, and vendors must be verified in the Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) system to be eligible. The procurement will result in a single award firm-fixed price purchase order with a performance period of approximately 15 to 18 weeks from the award date. The installation involves removing a current pass-through window and surrounding stainless-steel panels from a stainless-steel wall and replacing it with the new rack return system. The contractor will be responsible for providing any additional stainless panels needed to ensure proper closure of the space. The place of performance is the United States, specifically at the VA Lexington Health Care System facility.
