About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 has published a Special Notice indicating their intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to GE Medical Systems Information Technologies, Inc. for the purchase of CareScape patient monitoring equipment. The requirement includes 16 CareScape B850 MBB323 monitors, 9 CareScape One MBZ323 monitors, and associated equipment, to be installed at the Salt Lake City VA Health Care System's George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform all interested parties of the government's intent to make a sole source award to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), GE Medical Systems Information Technologies, Inc. While the OEM has an SDVOSB distributor, TrillaMed LLC, who could offer the products on the open market, there are foreign-made items in the requirement, which would require a Buy American Non-Availability Waiver. Ordering off the OEM's GSA contract eliminates the need for this lengthy process. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirement by September 16, 2024 at 12:00 PM Mountain Time, but this is not a request for competitive quotes. The government will determine if competition is warranted based on the responses received.
