About this opportunity
This Special Notice was published by the Department of Veterans Affairs to announce their intent to award a sole source contract. The VA East Orange VAMC requires compounded chemotherapy to be delivered ready for administration to veterans with oncology appointments until their permanent or temporary compounding areas are certified.
The Notice aims to procure this compounded chemotherapy from Optum Pharmacy 801, Inc. on a short-term basis through a firm fixed price contract valued at $240,000. Interested parties cannot submit a response as this is not a request for quotes. The compounded drugs must be delivered in final form and ready for administration with tight timelines to continue serving veteran patients. No alternative suppliers were identified who could meet these demands other than the intended awardee. The Notice establishes an October 31, 2023 deadline at 4PM Eastern Time for the contract to be awarded on a non-competitive basis due to the urgent need.
