About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking telecommunications equipment for the Guam Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Annex in Dededo, Guam. The procurement involves specific telecommunications infrastructure including two 45 RU static load racks, four 208V rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs), two 5kW UPS systems, temperature/humidity sensors, UTP patch panels, and associated installation services. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes to support a newly constructed clinic providing medical services to the veteran population in Guam. The government emphasizes that this is not a Request for Quote and does not constitute a commitment to issue future solicitations. Interested parties must submit responses by July 11, 2025, at 11:00 Pacific Time to Contract Specialist Erica Perry-Johnson at the Regional Procurement Office West. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be borne entirely by the interested parties, and the government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred.

This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS code 334112 (Computer Storage Device Manufacturing) and Product Service Code 5999 (Miscellaneous Electrical and Electronic Components). The procurement specifically requires two 45 RU static load telecommunications racks, four 208V rack-mounted Power Distribution Units, and two 5kW Uninterruptible Power Supply systems along with environmental monitoring equipment. The equipment must be shipped to and installed at the remote location in Dededo, Guam, which presents logistical considerations for potential contractors. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the documentation. The RFI does not specify award values or budget ranges, as this is strictly an information-gathering exercise. The tight response timeline of only four days from posting to deadline suggests the VA may be moving quickly toward a formal solicitation process.
