About this opportunity

The Naval Supply Systems Command seeks supplies of stuffing tubes and related components for sound powered jack boxes, with proposals due August 7, 2026. The procurement is a total small business set-aside; Amendment 0002, effective August 1, adds three DFARS clauses addressing vendor threat mitigation, contractor record access, and NIST SP 800-171 DoD assessment requirements, and deletes prior NIST notice language. Amendment 0001, issued August 1, extended the response deadline from June 26 and removed the original brand name requirement, opening competition beyond the sole-source Research Tool & Die Works manufacturer identified in the June 15 posting.

The requirement encompasses nine contract line items totaling approximately 295 units, including stuffing tube assemblies in multiple configurations (part numbers M24235/18-061 MOD, M24235/18-063 MOD, M24235/18-062 MOD, M24235/18-064 MOD, M24235/18-004 MOD, M24235/18-002 MOD, and M24235/18-062 MOD designating 316L stainless steel variants) and one 6-inch crosstier (part number 9M-06). All items are specified per MIL-S-24235/18 MOD with modifications to length (6.75 to 12.5 inches) and material (CRES-316L stainless steel), and require double-layer cardboard box packaging. Place of performance is SRF and JRMC Yokosuka, Japan, with FOB Origin transportation via NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support.

Evaluation will weigh technical merit (including delivery date), price, and past performance with no stated order of relative importance. Award will be a single firm fixed-price contract to the most advantageous quoter. Quoters must register in SAM.gov and provide manufacturer information and CAGE codes. The NAICS code is 335999, All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing. Contact: Lorraine Small, Lorraine.m.small.civ@us.navy.mil.
