About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command, specifically the 55th Security Forces Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base, is procuring four Vesper Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) through a brand-name requirement that restricts offerors to Vantage Robotics, LLC and its authorized resellers. Each UAV must include specific technical specifications including a 1.8GHz Microhard radio, recon rotor assembly, 3-axis stabilized EO/IR gimbal, two 65 Watt-hour lithium-ion smart batteries with magnetic attachment, and an extended 2-year warranty beyond the standard 1-year manufacturer's warranty. The equipment must comply with USA country of origin requirements, TAA, NDAA, and Berry Amendment regulations, and include English-language training and documentation. The government will evaluate offers based on total evaluated price and technical capability, with the contract awarded to the most advantageous offeror conforming to solicitation requirements. Quotes are due on September 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM CST, with delivery required within 60-90 days after receipt of order.

This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under solicitation number FA460025Q0095, with Vantage Robotics being the only manufacturer authorized to provide these specific drone systems. The Vesper Drone System is identified as critical to the security and defense of Offutt Air Force Base and is currently the only Blue sUAS drone platform authorized under the installation's Rules of Use of Force. While no specific contract value is mentioned in the available documentation, the requirement specifies exactly four UAV fuselages with associated equipment and warranties. All performance and delivery will be directed to Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, with offerors required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit both price quotations and technical approaches limited to six pages. The procurement represents a single-source acquisition below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, justified by the specialized security requirements and current authorization limitations for drone systems at the installation.
