About this opportunity

The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Force Logistics Center is procuring a Hobart Model No. AM16-BAS-4 sanitizer with complete installation and removal services for the USCGC VIGILANT to maintain habitability and sanitary conditions aboard the cutter. The procurement is being conducted as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items under FAR Parts 12 and 13, using simplified acquisition procedures and firm-fixed-price contract terms. The requirement stems from a Hobart technician's recommendation to replace the existing unit due to multiple years of temporary repairs and anticipated internal component failures. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ 52000Q260001484) classified under NAICS code 333310 (Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing), and contractors must provide pricing that includes both the equipment and all labor associated with installation and removal of the old unit. The solicitation deadline for responses is February 6, 2026, and the government has indicated three possible performance windows: February 9-12, 2026; February 23-26, 2026; or March 9-12, 2026.

This procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside, meaning only small business entities are eligible to submit proposals. No incumbent contractor is identified in the solicitation documents. The specific award value or budget range has not been disclosed in the notice, though bidders are required to provide firm-fixed pricing for the Hobart AM16-BAS-4 unit along with technician labor for removal and installation. The work will be performed at the USCGC VIGILANT's location at 9235 Grouper Road in Cape Canaveral, Florida 32920, with the Contracting Officer Technical Representative being LT. Alex Broomfield. Additionally, contractors must comply with applicable Service Contract Act wage determinations for Florida (Brevard County) and all relevant FAR provisions outlined in the FAR Smart Matrix, including provisions related to contract clauses, anti-kickback procedures, whistleblower protections, and supply chain security requirements.
