About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation) has issued a Special Notice for the 417th Landing Gear Supply Chain Management Squadron (417 SCMS) regarding a follow-on strategy to the Landing Gear Collaborative Supply Chain Integration (LG-CSCI) contract. The notice is focused on developing an improved approach to supply chain management for Air Force landing gear systems. Posted on May 20, 2025, the opportunity is specifically targeted within the Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing sector. The contract opportunity is identified by the unique ID 4400256dc4b544d1b953de8149fb3613 and involves collaboration between the 417 SCMS, Enterprise Hill Commodity Council, and Defense Logistics Agency. The special notice represents a strategic effort to enhance military aircraft fleet readiness through refined supply chain processes.
The primary objective of this special notice is to solicit feedback and comments on draft Technical Requirements Document (TRD) and parts list developed by the government. Contractors interested in providing input are encouraged to submit their comments before the June 19, 2025 deadline. The opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, which means only small businesses are eligible to participate. The initiative aims to build upon previous lessons learned from the LG-CSCI program and create a more effective supply chain integration model for Air Force landing gear systems. By inviting industry feedback, the government seeks to refine its technical requirements and develop a more robust procurement strategy. Potential contractors should carefully review the draft documents and provide constructive insights that can help improve the overall supply chain management approach. The ultimate goal is to increase operational readiness and efficiency in managing critical aircraft components.
