About this opportunity

The Department of the Interior National Park Service Pacific West Region seeks quotations for one Artec Micro II 3D Laser Scanner with Artec Studio 20 Lifetime software or an equal product, with offers due August 28, 2026 at 12:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time. Place of performance is John Day Fossil Beds National Monument in Kimberly, Oregon. The scanner must use non-contact optical scanning technology (structured light, laser, or equivalent) to digitize paleontological specimens and museum objects under 100 mm, with high-accuracy surface texture capture, an automated rotational platform for full-coverage scanning, and high repeatability for scientific documentation. The software must provide standalone functionality on NPS Windows systems without cloud subscriptions, including automated and manual alignment, registration, cleanup, mesh generation, and export in industry-standard formats (OBJ, STL, PLY). The contractor shall provide a one-year commercial hardware warranty and ongoing technical support including email, phone, remote troubleshooting, installation, calibration assistance, and training material access. Expected delivery is within 30 days after receipt of order.
