About this opportunity

The U.S. Air Force, through the 31st Contracting Squadron at Aviano Air Base, is procuring five (5) Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) Maintenance Stands capable of supporting military aircraft maintenance operations. These are mobile maintenance stands designed with modular configurations featuring interchangeable adapter kits for various mission requirements, including bomb rack, ammunition drum, and weapons pylon maintenance. The stands must meet strict technical specifications outlined in the solicitation, including a 1,000-pound working load capacity with proof-load testing to 2,000 pounds, fabrication from steel base weldments and aluminum adapter weldments per ANSI/AWS welding standards, and a gray polyurethane paint finish over epoxy primer. Evaluation of offers will be based on four criteria in no particular order: Technical Capability to Meet the Government's Requirement, Price, Delivery Terms, and Past Performance. The deadline for submission of quotes is April 2, 2026 at 1500 Central European Time, questions from potential offerors must be submitted by March 18, 2026, and all quotes must remain valid for 90 calendar days from the submission date.

This procurement is for a single Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order with no set-aside designation. No incumbent contractor or award value is identified in the solicitation documents. The contract requires the delivery, installation, and assembly of all five maintenance stands directly to Aviano Air Base, Italy (located in the Province of Pordenone), with line items covering both the maintenance stands and shipping/installation/assembly services. Each stand features a four-caster mobility system, removable upper and lower plywood shelves, high-density polyethylene foam protective features, and a base footprint of approximately 48 inches by 28 inches with an empty weight of 140 pounds. Contractors must provide a minimum one-year warranty on all delivered equipment and comply with all applicable Department of Defense and Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements, including registration in the SAM database and submission of signed, dated quotes via email to the primary points of contact.
