About this opportunity

The Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is soliciting capability packages from potential sources to support the 2026 Air Force Marathon, with responses due July 3, 2026. No set-aside is anticipated, though the Air Force is evaluating a small business set-aside if two or more small business prime contractors demonstrate capability to provide at least 50 percent of the entire scope.

Performance occurs at the National Museum of the United States Air Force and surrounding locations in Fairborn, Ohio, with the primary event on September 19, 2026. The period of performance covers one base year plus four one-year option years (2026–2030).

The Statement of Work spans six major functional areas: portable water tanks (55 units minimum 125 gallons each serving 25 hydration stations), fencing (19,000 linear feet of steel-tubing panels across five locations), golf carts and UTVs (including 20 UTVs, 45 golf carts of various configurations, and specialized equipment), light carts and generators (45 light-tower carts, 17 3KW generators, Skid Steer, forklifts, and Telehandler), professional-grade audio and video systems with minimum six camera positions and dual 9'×12' video screens at 10dpi resolution minimum, and logistics operations support (19 personnel for course management, finish-line operations, and equipment handling September 13–20, 2026). All equipment, transportation, and labor must be contractor-provided; potable water sourcing requires a licensed delivery contractor.

Respondents must register in SAM, disclose foreign ownership and contemplated use of foreign national employees, demonstrate technical compliance with specifications, and address subcontracting strategy including FAR 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting compliance. An Amendment 1 issued June 22, 2026, encourages responses from all capable sources, including vendors fulfilling only single categories, as the acquisition strategy remains unfinalied.
