About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Inc. for technical engineering and integrated facilities acquisition & engineering (FA&W) services supporting the Nuclear-armed, Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) Program. The procurement will be conducted under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), which allows for a non-competitive acquisition when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. While this is a sole source notice, SSP will consider responses from other potential contractors within 15 days of publication. The applicable NAICS code is 541330 for Engineering Services, and the Product Service Code is R425 for Professional Engineering/Technical Support. SSP estimates awarding the contract in June 2025 and plans to publicize the award notice after contract finalization.
The contract has no specific set-aside designation and will focus on technical support across multiple locations including Washington, DC, Bangor, WA, and Kings Bay, GA. The contract period is structured as a one-year base term with a one-year option, potentially spanning 24 months total if all options are exercised. BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Inc. from Rockville, MD is the intended sole source contractor with CAGE code 99789. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract will support critical nuclear missile program engineering requirements. The place of performance is specified as Washington, DC 20374, with work extending to additional strategic naval locations. This procurement represents a targeted approach to maintaining technical engineering capabilities for strategic naval missile systems.
