About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command seeks to procure 5 each 20-ton pneumatic air hoists for Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound, with responses due July 21, 2026. Amendment 0005, issued July 21, 2026, cancels the original solicitation N0040626Q0242 and re-solicits using the most recent specifications due to multiple specification amendments. This is a Women-Owned Small Business set-aside with 100% reservation for small businesses.
Place of performance is Japan, with delivery to Yokosuka (DoDAAC N62758) by July 10, 2026. Government arranges transportation via NAVSUP WSS using the Ready-to-Ship web form process. Inspection and acceptance occur at both origin and destination.
Technical requirements specify 20 metric ton capacity, rated air pressure of 4 or 6 BAR (65–90 PSI), minimum headroom of 40.6 inches but no more than 46 inches including chain container, air consumption of at least 142 but no higher than 195 CFM, standard lift height of 25 feet minimum, pendant control hand chain of 25 feet minimum, chain container, air fall, and both upper and lower hooks. Each unit requires proof load testing with certification. Hoists must comply with NAVFAC P-307 Section 14.10, ASME B30.16 standards, welded link load chain, load stopping capability during air pressure loss, and ASME HST-5 duty service classification A4 or higher with overload limiting devices or slip clutches. Larger capacity hoists derated to meet required tonnage are not acceptable.
