About this opportunity
The Air Force Air Combat Command's 2d Weather Squadron has issued a Special Notice for a modular wall project involving the installation and reconfiguration of existing modular wall systems within Building 185. The work encompasses six specific rooms (1300, 1310, 1423, 1425, 1428, and 1430) and includes relocating modular wall panels to create a new private office, modifying light fixture placement and switching, and installing door units between adjoining office spaces. The government will provide the wall components and hardware already available on site, while the contractor must furnish all necessary labor, tools, and equipment. This opportunity was posted on September 23, 2025, with responses due by October 23, 2025. The project falls under NAICS code 238390 for Other Building Finishing Contractors.
The Special Notice serves as advance notification of a single-source procurement justified by the existing Haworth modular wall system requiring specific expertise and certified installers to maintain compatibility and warranty compliance. Contractors must be certified by the demountable wall system manufacturer and comply with multiple technical standards including International Building Code and National Electrical Code requirements. All contract personnel must be U.S. citizens, and contractors are responsible for obtaining necessary permits, security clearances, and base access. The work must be completed during normal business hours (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday) with a five-year labor warranty required. A sources sought notice was previously posted to identify potential vendors, but no alternative certified installers were found, leading to the single-source justification for this specialized installation project.
