About this opportunity
The 126th Air Refueling Wing (126 ARW) at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, under the Department of the Army National Guard, is soliciting proposals for the repair and maintenance of 46 overhead doors located across 14 buildings at the facility. The scope of work includes addressing defects such as inoperable safety stops, damaged seals, corroded metal components, malfunctioning controls, and other mechanical failures to extend the service life of these doors. Proposals will be evaluated based on price, technical capability, and past performance, with additional consideration given to contractors who have successfully completed prior work for the 126th ARW. The government intends to award a single firm fixed-price contract to the responsible offeror whose proposal represents the best value, though it reserves the right to consider partial or multiple awards. The original proposal due date was extended to May 8, 2026, following a site visit conducted on April 22, 2026, during which prospective contractors inspected the facility and the government issued a revised Performance Work Statement. Technical questions must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer, Jonathan Middleton, MSgt, IL ANG, with responses provided through solicitation amendments.
This is a total small business set-aside contract designated under NAICS code 236220 (specialized construction). The estimated contract value ranges between $100,000 and $250,000, with bid bonds required for quotes exceeding $150,000 in accordance with FAR 28.101-1. The contractor must commence work within 10 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed and complete all repairs within 90 calendar days, performing work during standard business hours (7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays). The work is to be performed at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois (62225), with compliance required to prevailing wage rates established by the Department of Labor for St. Clair County and Madison County, Illinois. Offerors must submit complete bid packages via email to 126.ARW.MSC@us.af.mil, including a one-page pricing quote sheet, on-site supervisor resume (1-2 pages), technical narrative, proposed schedule, subcontractor information, and country-of-manufacture documentation, with all documents required in accessible format without security restrictions.
