About this opportunity
The Department of the Army National Guard seeks quotations for BAK-14 High Speed Rollover (HSRO) support arm assemblies, with proposals due July 27. This is an unrestricted procurement; all responsible sources may respond.
Place of performance is Madison, Wisconsin. The requirement covers 14 base units and three options totaling up to 48 additional units of pneumatically actuated HSRO barrier arms for the 115th Fighter Wing at Truax Field. The existing BAK-14M support arms have experienced repeated failures when aircraft taxi over them in an extended position at speeds of 25 knots or greater. Offerors must provide documentation demonstrating that proposed HSRO Barrier Support Arms have been tested and proven capable of sustaining repeated taxi speeds up to 75 knots, the maximum deceleration speed allowed on the subject runways, and must be compatible with the existing legacy assembly housing enclosure. The dealer is responsible for all additional components, hardware, racks, cables, and necessary items to deliver a fully functional drop-in replacement solution with no further modifications required.
The NAICS code is 336413, Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing; PSC code is 1710, Aircraft Landing Equipment. Small business size standard for this NAICS is 1,250 employees. Inspection and acceptance occurs at the government facility. Delivery is required 90 days after receipt of order, FOB Destination to Madison. A firm fixed price contract award is anticipated. Option CLINs are anticipated to be exercised at the time of award but may be exercised within 30 days after award. Evaluation criteria are technical completeness and quality, price, and past performance. HUBZone small business concerns receive a 10 percent evaluation preference unless waived. Contact Lt Col Dave Mattila at 608-245-4788 or dave.mattila.2@us.af.mil.
