About this file
This document is a solicitation by Orange County, Florida for preventive maintenance and repair services for an EPA Technology LLC/EPAT-2.2-WL incinerator located at the Orange County Animal Services facility. The county has determined that EPA Technologies is currently the only contractor capable of fulfilling these specialized maintenance requirements. The services will include semi-annual preventative maintenance with comprehensive tasks such as burner and air system calibration, equipment functionality checks, physical observations, parts replacement, and annual visual emissions testing. Interested vendors must submit their qualifications via email to Patrice Hauser by 5:00 PM local time on Friday, December 20, 2024.
The scope of work mandates that the contractor maintain the incinerator in strict compliance with Florida Department of Environmental Protection emissions and operating standards. Repair services are also specified, requiring the contractor to address any identified components within 48 hours of diagnosis, with additional provisions for phone support, diagnostics, and rapid response to equipment failures. The contractor must provide documentation of part costs with invoices and is expected to replace worn parts, conduct annual filter replacements, and perform additional labor as needed. The solicitation suggests this is a sole-source procurement due to the specialized nature of the equipment and required maintenance expertise.
