About this file
This document is a specification sheet for an Automotive Batteries contract (Y24-166-TF) issued by Orange County Fleet Management in Orlando, Florida. The contract seeks a vendor to supply, deliver, stock, and pick up vehicle/equipment batteries for Orange County's fleet of over 2,800 assets, with current service locations at 4400 Vineland Road and 8100 Presidents Dr. in Orlando, with potential for additional sites. The contractor will be required to maintain battery stockrooms, provide battery charging units, rotate stock on a monthly basis, and make twice-weekly inventory visits, with the ability to complete emergency "Hot Shot" deliveries within 2 hours of order placement.
The specifications outline detailed requirements for battery quality, including mandatory North American manufacturing, new and unused conditions, adherence to Battery Council International group sizes, clear warranty markings, and specific warranty terms ranging from 6 months to 2 years depending on battery type. Invoicing requirements are comprehensive, mandating detailed documentation including contract numbers, delivery dates, itemized charges, and unit numbers. The contractor must provide monthly account statements and have a dedicated account for Fleet Management. No core charges will be tracked by Orange County, and the contractor is responsible for removing and loading all used, defective, and returned batteries.
